Booking an in-shore fishing trip is an excellent way for families to safely enjoy the beach at Rancho San Lucas and take advantage of a unique and fun activity.
There is some of the best fishing from the shore in Baja Sur right from the beach in front of the resort and community at Rancho San Lucas! Surfcasting, or in-shore fishing, is a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the beach, and you can catch some pretty significant fish fights from the beach.
Depending on the season, Sierra, snook, and Dorado can all be seen from shore! While less tasty than previously mentioned, several species are still fun to catch and toss back into the surf.
Guests and members can inquire about fishing experiences at Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas and plan a morning or an evening on the beach. For those not wanting to fish, a beach walk and a bottle of wine are also great ways to spend some time on the incredible coastline in front of Rancho San Lucas.

What are the safe beaches in Cabo San Lucas?
Well, that’s always a question very commonly asked as all beaches are not the same.
As a rule of thumb, beaches such as the Pacific side where RSL is located have riptides or undertows, making them very dangerous. Nothing beats the beauty it holds and the whales’ breaching during their annual migration.
The Pacific side of Los Cabos is not recommended for swimming. The infinity pools give you the experience of being on the beach without the dangers. Many riptides occur, and the waves hit too close to shore. Yet the beauty to be seen is impressive.
